There are naysayers out there who feel that it’s not important to put a face on internet MLM marketing businesses anymore. They argue that the average network marketing internet business is a flash in the pan and there is not even enough time to build a relationship with the consumer. They urge you to get in while you can, earn as much money as you can quickly, and then leave to find another way to make money.

I don’t like this way of looking at a network marketing program. I think it’s important to brand your company so you can establish a relationship with your consumers. On the other hand, I do believe that the old-fashioned ways of branding your online internet business opportunity are outdated and irrelevant.

Using my system, I will show you three easy ways you can brand your company and establish a following:

1.    Generate Traffic

You can begin to build up your home business opportunity online by harnessing the power of the internet. You need to drive traffic to a website, to your videos on YouTube, your blogs, and social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. The more traffic you have, the more likely you are to reach out to a wide audience that will be interested in your products.

2.    Build Relationships

Once you have generated some traffic, you need to build up loyalty and trust. This is what will keep your customers returning for more. It leads to steady growth for your company and customer retention so you aren’t constantly searching for a new audience. You can accomplish this by offering information or content of value to your audience.

3.    Provide Solutions

Finally, you retain the audience with whom you have built a relationship based on trust by offering them solutions to their current problems. You can demonstrate how your business or its affiliates can provide your clients with the tools they need to solve their problems, grow their businesses, or the like. The important thing is to offer a solution of value, and to demonstrate to your clients exactly how your company can provide them with the answers they need. In other words, it’s not enough to advertise — you must promote!

Generating an MLM business lead used to be as simple as recruiting a friend or a neighbor to join your company. In fact, that’s how many new entrepreneurs start network marketing recruiting and many old-school MLM trainers will still tell you it’s the best way to get started. But there are several problems associated with this method:

•    This method forces you to mix business with family or friendships, and that can be a recipe for disaster. If your relatives or friends cannot make the commitment to your network marketing business opportunity, or they don’t want to for any reason, it can cause a considerable strain on your relationships.

•    Even if you do have some success recruiting people you know, eventually you will tap out everyone in your circle of acquaintances and your recruitment resource will dry up.

•    This method forces you to seek out only people you know and not people who would be skilled at internet MLM marketing. So your recruits may, in the end, not ever close a sale which would make them useless to your business.

Obviously, it’s time for a better way to recruit. The new social media phenomenon may just be the way to go.

Do you remember when email became the next big thing as far as advertising went? Companies around the globe were trying to grow their email lists in an attempt to reach a captive audience who was already interested in the products they had to offer. That was well over a decade ago and times have changed. How many email lists are you on now? And how often do you delete those emails without even bothering to read them? Yep–email marketing is as dead as the dodo, so why keep using it as your main source of networking? Why not turn to new and exciting ways to market your company?

•    If your friends and relatives do  sign up, there’s a better-than-average chance they don’t have a background in sales and won’t be able to bring in a lot of money without a considerable amount of training;
•    It mixes the personal with business, which is rarely a good idea.

Focus on Finding a Mentor

Rather than frittering your time on recruiting friends and family members, you should direct your thoughts “up.” When I was a kid, my father used to tell me that I should pick a “rabbit” to follow in school. This means you focus on someone who is a high achiever and pattern your behavior on his.

You need to develop a relationship with a mentor who can train you in proven methods for expanding your MLM business.I found that kind of mentorship with a friend of mine who is a builder/developer. Now that I have succeeded in my field, I can be your “rabbit,” and you can pattern your business after mine so you can prosper too.
